You must have gone through the reviews we have done in previous posts.Its been a long time since the release of Internet explorer beta 2.Microsoft released the first update to its beta 2 version of INTERNET explorer in a span of almost 6 months.In contrast within 2 months time Opera has  already  realesed its next generation browser Opera 10 alpha release which boast of features never heard of ,Mozilla came out with Firefox 3.1 beta with a faster JavaScript engine in response to Google’s Chrome version 1.0.154.36.

Last two months  has been a busy Schedule for INTERNET browser vendors.Each one of them  came out with their new versions with new features, in a way to out smart each other.But Microsoft has been somewhat slow in this race. It seems Microsoft is not in any sort of competition.

Microsoft’s  update is not intended  for general public but only to few  Microsoft partners.And according to Microsoft blog posts, they are not releasing the final public pre-release until  Q1 2009.  But we are providing the link at Useful Links section at the end of this article so that you can have a first hand look .

In a post of it’s IEBlog one of  the Accessibility Program Manager for IE8 wrote  ”The IE team has been working towards making IE8 the most accessible browser possible, and we wanted to detail some of the work we’ve done toward this end”.

Let’s take a look at some of the new additions to this release .

New  UI features

• Caret Browsing
• Find on Page
• Adaptive Zoom
• High DPI

Platform features

• support for ARIA
• Support for IAccessibleEx
• Support for additional WinEvents

According to independent analysts Internet explorer 8 is still far behind Firefox,Opera and Google’s Chrome in terms of performance.Enough from my side,  better i shall give you few links ,so that you can  go through them if you want more details.
