Google has just released a mac version of their photo organizer cum photo editor google Picasa.Picasa has been a great tool for 
users who just want a standalone program to manage their digital images on their personal computers.And because it’s a free software, it’s been used widely both by Windows as well as Linux based users. Now Google added the mac version although its still in beta stage.

In it’s blog the Product manager wrote “Picasa for Mac looks and works almost exactly like Picasa on other platforms. It can keep track of photo files scattered across your hard drives, and will automatically account for new photos as you add them to your system. Picasa for Mac also features non-destructive editing, so you can explore different photo adjustments and effects without worry”.
System Requirments:
- Mac OS X 10.4 or better
- Intel CPU based mac
- At least 256MB of RAM
- 100MB available hard disk space
Some of the features that are not available in the Mac version are
- Geotagging
- Shop/Order prints
- Integrated webcam capture
- Automatic screen capture
- Export as HTML page
- Screensaver
- Picasa Photo Viewer
